The mega-auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) began on Saturday in Bengaluru. As many as 74 players were sold on the opening day of the two-day event.
Wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan was bought by five-times champion Mumbai Indians for a whopping price of INR 15.25, while uncapped pacer Avesh Khan became the most expensive uncapped player in the history of the IPL when Lucknow Super Giants acquired his services for Rs 10 crore.
