The fourth Ashes Test between Australia and England ended on an exciting note, with the visitors exhibiting utmost determination to secure a thrilling draw. During the last hour of play, Pat Cummins displayed attacking captaincy and brought all the fielders near the batters to put pressure on the English side.
A picture of one such incident went viral on the internet, with many fans appreciating the thriller that Test cricket produces. In the viral image, Australian spinner Nathan Lyon can be seen approaching to deliver the ball with as many as nine fielders, including the wicketkeeper, placed near the batsman.
Reacting to the same picture, the official Twitter handle of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) tried to take a dig at IPL veteran MS Dhoni. KKR merged the viral image with a throwback picture featuring Dhoni, who was then a member of now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS). KKR recalled an incident when Gautam Gambhir had levied a similar attacking fielding tactic against Dhoni, terming it as a ‘masterstroke’ in the T20 format.
That moment when a classic move in Test cricket actually reminds you of a T20 master stroke! #Ashes #KKR #AmiKKR #AUSvENG pic.twitter.com/D3XbMu83mf

As soon as the Knight Riders shared the post, it garnered huge attraction and was flooded with comments from mostly Dhoni’s fans. Even Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja couldn’t stop himself from reacting to the KKR’s post.
Jadeja decided to hit back at KKR by claiming that it wasn’t a masterstroke but just a way of ‘show off’. Jaddu wrote: “It’s not a masterstroke! Just a show off (Rolling on the floor laughing emoji).”

Notably, Dhoni played for RPS when CSK was suspended for two seasons – 2016 and 2017. Dhoni played 30 matches for the Pune franchise, scoring 574 runs at a strike rate of close to 125 with two half-centuries.
