Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and young left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal have been ruled out of India squad for the next month’s three-match ODI series against Bangladesh.

Jadeja – who is yet to recover from his knee injury – will remain under the supervision of the BCCI Medical Team, while Dayal has a lower back issue and, therefore, both will miss the upcoming matches.

Shahbaz Ahmed, the Bengal all-rounder, has been named as Jadeja’s replacement for the ODI leg that begins on December 4 in Mirpur. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh left-arm seamer Dawal will be replaced by Madhya Pradesh pacer Kuldeep Sen.

“The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named fast bowler Kuldeep Sen and all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed as replacements for Yash Dayal & Ravindra Jadeja for the upcoming 3-match ODI series against Bangladesh in December. Dayal has a lower back issue and is ruled out of the series while Jadeja is yet to recover from his knee injury and will continue to be under the supervision of the BCCI Medical team,” BCCI said in the statement.

Shahbaz and Sen were initially named in the Indian squad for the 3-match ODI series in New Zealand, starting November 25 in Auckland. But, they will now be a part of the team travelling to Bangladesh. No replacements have been named for the New Zealand ODIs.
