The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Sunday, named the Team of the Tournament for the T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday.

Notably, the multi-team competition ended with England defeating Pakistan in the summit clash at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Three Indian players have been named on the list, including the tournament’s highest run-getter Virat Kohli, batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav and left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. The team also includes three members of England’s winning squad in the form of openers Alex Hales and Jos Buttler, along with fast bowler Mark Wood.

Kohli finished the global competition with 296 runs in 6 matches at a mind-boggling average of 98.66, including four half-centuries. Similarly, Buttler amassed 225 runs from 7 games at a scintillating strike rate of 144.23 and highest score of 80.

Apart from the above-mentioned six stars, two Pakistani players were included in the starting XI, while one each from New Zealand, Zimbabwe and South Africa also featured in the ICC Team of the Tournament for T20 World Cup 2022.
