Twitter reactions: Clinical India steamroll Zimbabwe in the first ODI

Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill smashed unbeaten 80s to help India record a clinical 10-wicket victory in the first ODI against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on Thursday.

Chasing the target of 190, the Indian openers gave no chance to Zimbabwe bowlers, ensuring the tourists registered a win by 10 wickets. While Dhawan remained unbeaten at 81 off 113 deliveries, Gill stayed undefeated at 82 from 72 balls.

Earlier, Indian bowlers dominated the proceedings and kept control of the run-flow by regularly taking wickets. Deepak Chahar, Axar Patel and Prasidh Krishna all picked up three wickets each.

While Chahar bagged three scalps for 27 in seven overs, Axar took a three-wicket haul while conceding 24 in 7.3 overs. Similarly, Prasidh also picked up three scalps but ended up giving away 50 runs in 8 overs.
