Indian batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav’s stunning century in the second T20I against New Zealand has gained attraction from all corners. Not only the cricket fraternity but even other sports personalities have also shared their opinions on Surya’s magnificent innings.

Recently, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has reacted to Suryakumar’s incredible effort with the bat.

Notably, in the second match at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on Sunday, Surya took New Zealand bowlers to the cleaners, smashing runs at a mind-boggling strike rate of 217.65.

Surya went on to hit a blazing century and remained undefeated on 111, including 11 fours and seven sixes. Riding on Suryakumar’s majestic knock, India posted a humungous total of 191/6 in their allotted 20 overs. In response, the Black Caps got bundled out for a mere 126, losing the contest by 65 runs.

McIntyre, who is widely known for his interest in cricket, took to Twitter and heaped praises on Suryakumar – the No.1 ICC-ranked T20I Batsman in the world.

“My man Sky Yadav coming through again. Best T20 player in the world right now!” McIntyre wrote on Twitter.

After the match, Suryakumar spoke about his innings and the secret behind some of his jaw-dropping shots. The Pune-born weighted towards the intent as the sole reason to play some freakish shots.

“The plan was clear when I went into bat. At the 12th/13th over, we thought about batting deep and getting around 170-175 was a par score. Secret (behind his freak shots) is about the intent, and you need to enjoy yourself. It’s also about the work you do in the practice sessions. It’s a great feeling coming here, having a full game and going 1-0 in the series feels good. I feel that I didn’t think too much about what was happening. Just had my game plan, and it worked well. Fantastic crowd here,” Surya said in the post-match presentation.
