The speedster played a vital part in his franchise’s campaign in last three seasons of the league and emerged as a Purple Cap holder in the IPL 2021. The decision to part ways with Patel has stirred emotions, prompting the right-arm bowler to express his sentiments through a poignant and widely circulated social media post.

Harshal expressed his gratitude and shared special memories from his time with RCB. He acknowledged the incredible journey of  his last three years and extended thanks to everyone in the team who supported him through challenging and rewarding times. The 33-year-old even conveyed that he carries nothing but gratitude in his heart for the RCB family.

I want to share some special memories I’ve had with @royalchallengersbangalore . Last three years have been an incredible journey for me. I want to thank everyone in the team who stood by me through thick and thin. As I move on, I have nothing but gratitude in my heart,” Harshal wrote in his post.

Harshal Patel’s journey with RCB

Harshal embarked on his IPL voyage in 2012 with RCB but later found himself donning the colours of Delhi Capitals in 2018. The twist in his tale occurred during the 2021 auction, where the Bangalore-based franchise displayed their eagerness to bring him back into the fold by shelling out a staggering INR 10.75 crore. His return proved to be a game-changer for the side as the latter emerged as a ball-variation juggernaut for his side. Throughout his stint from 2021 to 2023, he showcased his prowess by bagging an impressive tally of 63 wickets in just 43 matches.
