Anum Ara, the mother of Indian speedster Mohammed Shami, found herself in the spotlight for an entirely different reason—she was rushed to a local hospital during the crucial match.

As the cricketing world fixated its gaze on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Sahashpur village was no different. Friends, families, and cricket enthusiasts gathered to witness the summit clash between two cricketing giants. Among them was Anum, praying fervently for her son’s success on this grand stage.

However, the atmosphere of joy quickly turned to one of concern as Anum Ara’s health took an unexpected hit. Nervousness and fever gripped her during the pivotal match, leading to a swift response from the Shami family and their close-knit circle of friends.

With the tension escalating, Anum’s relatives wasted no time, rushing her to a local hospital for immediate medical attention. The village, buzzing with cricket fever just moments ago, now echoed with prayers for the well-being of Shami’s beloved mother.

Update on Anum Ara’s health

Upon reaching the local hospital, Anum underwent initial treatment to stabilize her condition. Recognizing the need for more comprehensive care, she was soon transferred to an advanced health center. The updates from the medical front bring a sigh of relief—Anum’s condition is now reported to be stable.

“She was admitted to the hospital due to fever and nervousness. Now, her condition is normal.” Shami’s cousin Dr Mumtaz told Times of India.

Notably, India faced a heartbraking 6-wicket loss in the final against Australia. India could only manage to post 240 on the scoreboard before the Aussies chased it down in 43 overs with Travis Head smashing a brilliant century.
