Chappell, known for his astute observations, declared Indian maestro Virat Kohli as the undisputed best batter of the current era. Chappell lauded Kohli’s attitude and approach towards batting. He commended the 36-year-old’s dedication to fitness, emphasizing Kohli’s remarkable running between the wickets as a testament to his commitment to staying in prime physical condition.

“Let’s go back to Kohli first. He doesn’t anymore but there was a point in his career where he averaged over 50 in all three formats. Now, that’s remarkable performance. I think Kohli is probably the best batsman of this era,” said Chappell in a chat with Wide World of Sports.
