South Africa thrashed England by 90 runs in the third and final T20I at Ageas Bowl to clinch the series 2-1 on Sunday (July 31). The hosts, after opting to bowl first, had no answer to dominating batting display from South Africa.

The visitors piled up a mammoth total of 191/5 in their 20 overs, with Reeza Hendricks (70) and Aiden Markram (51*) smashing tremendous half-centuries.

The Jos Buttler-led English side then failed on the batting front as well, bundling out for just 101 to lose the contest by 90 runs, with spinner Tabraiz Shamsi (5/24) wreaking havoc and picking up his maiden T20I five-wicket haul.

Apart from dominating with bat and ball, the Proteas also owned the show on the field. A glimpse of that was seen when young Tristan Stubbs pulled off one of the finest one-handed catches to get rid of the dangerous Moeen Ali.

It all happened during the 10th over of England’s chase bowled by Markram. The batter seemed to guide the ball but ended up getting a leading edge, and that’s when Stubbs showed his brilliance. He ran quickly towards the ball and completed a one-handed screamer.

Here is the video:

“Defintely, it is a privilege to play 100 games for the country. I thought our openers did well. The batters batted well throughout the series. We quickly forgot about the first game and bounced back in a phenomenal manner. Stubbs has improved in domestic cricket. We are backing our process from the last 18 months. Our guys have been raising their hands and performing at key moments,” said South Africa captain David Miller in the post-match presentation.
